Crawfish Boil

Annual Crawfish Boil

2020 marks the 37th Annual SPE Crawfish Boil, an event focused on supplying a financial need for local families who have hardships due to medical-related issues. Together as a community, an estimated 4,500 people gather to eat over 13,000 southern crawfish with potatoes and onions, knowing that it benefits as many as 2 dozen families of our neighbors who can't pay for the health concerns.

Did you know? This event is actually the largest crawfish boil in the nation!

If you've never been, consider yourself invited for great food, drinks, activities for the whole family and live music.

Every year we have the pleasure of benefitting our community by supporting families in need. The total amount of money raised last year through donations and ticket sales was $177,193. Our expenses included $37,240.50 for crawfish, $14,624 for beverages, and $37,061.90 for other food and supplies; this includes music, building rent, etc.

After our expenses, we were able to give $62,200 to 15 local families who experienced financial hardship due to medical-related problems. Congratulations to Gillette and the surrounding area for your support in being great neighbors!

We certainly hope you were able to attend last year. We were able to cook and serve all 14,000 pounds of crawfish to a crowd of over 3,000. We look forward to seeing you again and to another successful event this year!
